PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Hyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiji Mutou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyatt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Street fighter. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Hyatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Keiji Mutou!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyatt connects with a right hand. Mutou shakes it off.
Hyatt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

and Mutou decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hyatt's guard.

Hyatt manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mutou displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hyatt throws out the jab.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hyatt is on top in guard.
Hyatt wants to control from the top but Mutou keeps moving.

Mutou is looking to regain half guard here but Hyatt keeps moving and retains side control.
Hyatt misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mutou creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hyatt sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Hyatt fakes the leg kick and cracks Mutou in the body.

Mutou looks up at the clock and then as Hyatt takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mutou smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Mutou throws a strike but Hyatt avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Hyatt lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
