Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Daniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bronco Inertia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bryce Daniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bronco Inertia!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inertia scores with a leg kick.
Inertia wants to clinch up but Daniel keeps it at a distance.
Inertia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Daniel swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Daniel circles away from the clinch attempt.

Inertia fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Daniel, pushing him back against the cage.
Daniel is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Inertia tries to pull guard but Daniel holds him up against the cage and eventually Inertia drops back down to his feet.
Inertia jumps guard but Daniel stands there with Inertia around his waist. Inertia gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inertia tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bryce Daniel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bronco Inertia.
Daniel misses with an elbow over the top.

Inertia has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Daniel is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Daniel prevents the takedown attempt.
Daniel will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Inertia up against the cage.
Inertia misses with a body punch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Daniel - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Inertia drops down looking for an ankle pick but Daniel pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bronco Inertia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Inertia misses with a few strikes there.
Inertia is looking to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Inertia rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daniel moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Inertia tries to clinch
and Daniel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Inertia throws a head kick but Daniel moves out of range.
It looked like Daniel was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Inertia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Daniel swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Daniel tries to counter by clinching up but Inertia breaks away and moves out of range.

Inertia moves into the clinch.
Daniel stalls.
Daniel taking a breather.
Daniel could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Inertia escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Inertia lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Daniel avoiding damage as Inertia throws knees to the body.

Inertia has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Daniel uses from the top position.

Inertia looking for a guillotine here but Daniel defends easily.
Daniel wanted to stand there but Inertia had control of the position.
Inertia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Daniel's guard.

Inertia wants to pass the guard but Daniel is keeping the position.
Inertia's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Daniel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bronco Inertia dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Inertia moves into the clinch successfully.

Inertia has picked Daniel up - he's going for a ride! Inertia dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Inertia wants to pass to mount but Daniel is defending the position.
Inertia is keen to just control but Daniel is a slippery customer.
Daniel won't allow Inertia to pass to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inertia looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Inertia wants to control but Daniel is keeping him busy.
Daniel is looking to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Inertia misses with a head kick.
Daniel ducks under a wild hook from Inertia.
Daniel seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Inertia manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Daniel on his heels. He'll look to pass Daniel's guard now, I'm sure.

Daniel has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Inertia off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Inertia stuffs the takedown attempt from Daniel. Daniel gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryce Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Inertia lands a two punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Inertia has taken the fight to the clinch.
Inertia jumps guard but Daniel stands there with Inertia around his waist. Inertia gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Inertia takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Daniel is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Inertia is keeping busy.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Bryce Daniel.
Inertia scores with a body shot.
Inertia is looking to clinch but Daniel is avoiding it.
Inertia slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


It looks like Bryce Daniel has been cut.
Bronco Inertia seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Daniel avoids the head kick by Inertia.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Daniel checks a leg kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A combination from Inertia does no damage.
Inertia throws the kick towards the body but Daniel avoids it.
Daniel tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Inertia manages to circle out of the way.
Daniel goes for a double leg but Inertia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Inertia continues to drive forward.
Inertia changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bronco Inertia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Bryce Daniel's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Daniel shoots in looking for a takedown. Inertia tries to sprawl out of it but Daniel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Inertia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Inertia tries to close the distance and clinch but Daniel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Daniel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Daniel half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Inertia closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Daniel manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Inertia lands a nice hook to Daniel's body. Daniel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Daniel is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Come on Daniel - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Daniel for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Inertia breaks from the clinch.
Inertia throws a head kick that misses.
Inertia pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Daniel slips a jab and a cross from Inertia.
Inertia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Daniel swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Inertia lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Bronco Inertia is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Daniel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Inertia's waist but Inertia gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Daniel off to one side.
Inertia raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Inertia tries to clinch up but Daniel circles away and keeps his distance.
It looked like Daniel was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Daniel takes a kick to the side of the head.
Inertia takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Inertia fails with an attempt to clinch.
Inertia has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Inertia fails to land with a series of punches.
Daniel shoots in looking for a takedown but Inertia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Daniel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryce Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Daniel is stalling here.
Inertia jumps guard but Daniel turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Bronco Inertia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Inertia has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
