The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balabbo just misses with a punch to the body.
Randall attempts a counter takedown but Balabbo avoids it well and moves away.
Balabbo tries to clinch there but Randall circles away.
Randall looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Balabbo is fending him off so far but Randall persists. Nope, Balabbo circles away and we're back to standing.
Crunch! Balabbo slams his shin into Randall's torso.
Balabbo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Balabbo darts in and clinches Randall up against the cage.
Balabbo lands an elbow inside.

It looks like Jason Randall has been cut.
Balabbo tries a knee to the head but Randall blocks it.
Balabbo tries to throw a body punch but Randall avoids it by throwing Balabbo back against the cage.
Randall takes an elbow to the temple.
Balabbo lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Balabbo tries to work over Randall's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Randall has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Balabbo uses from the top position.

Randall has control of Balabbo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Balabbo regains control of the situation pretty easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Randall's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Randall working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Balabbo turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Randall off and cradles Balabbo's limp body as Randall celebrates with his corner.
