Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Plouman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rumble Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumble Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Thiago Plouman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rumble Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouman dodges the punch combination from Johnson.
Johnson tries to land a front kick but Plouman steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Plouman feinted with a counter takedown.
Johnson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Plouman is landing a low percentage of strikes.

and Plouman counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Plouman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Plouman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Johnson pushes Plouman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Plouman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Plouman looks up at the clock and then as Johnson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Plouman smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Johnson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Plouman asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson has momentary wrist control but Plouman slips an elbow through the middle.

Plouman stands up over Johnson, holding on to his feet. Plouman throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Johnson is out cold! Plouman lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Thiago Plouman!
An out of breath Thiago Plouman thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
