Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Colston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes into the arena with micheal jackson beat it blaring out of the sound system. Peter James has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Colston!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colston misses with a body shot.

And Colston tries to counter it with a takedown but James pushes his down on his head and steps out.
James throws a body shot but no joy.
James uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Colston.
James moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Mike Colston has been cut.
Peter James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
James wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Colston has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

James takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

James has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Colston is on him like a limpet, forcing James back against the cage.

Colston wants the takedown. James is fighting it off but Colston persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in James's guard against the cage.

James can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Colston controls the pace.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

James had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Colston defends it easily.
James doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

I've got Colston winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
