Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between St Pre James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva with a nice cross.
Silva misses with a telegraphed body shot
and James counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
James takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but James was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva .
A little feinted left hand from James on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Karl Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva looks to throw the jab but James is out of range.
Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

James looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

James closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

James is trying to work for a kimura but Silva is defending well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Silva holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Silva has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

James is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silva sees it coming and defends easily.

James looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

James has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Silva defend it? James steps over the head and cranks it - Silva is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for James!
