Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cormac McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Avery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy fails to land with a series of punches.
Avery tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
McCarthy lands a body shot.
McCarthy misses with an uppercut.

Avery feints and as McCarthy raises his hands in defense, Avery changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Avery is fighting to break McCarthy's control of his arms but McCarthy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Avery tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McCarthy swivels and escapes.

And Avery tries to counter it with a takedown but McCarthy pushes his down on his head and steps out.

McCarthy knocks out Avery with a massive right hand! The ref tackles McCarthy before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. McCarthy picks up the big W with a huge KO!
