The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arenas misses with an uppercut.
Couture throws a nice looking combination but Arenas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A lazy left from Arenas finds it's target.
Couture shoots in for a takedown but Arenas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Couture looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Arenas is fending him off so far but Couture persists. Nope, Arenas circles away and we're back to standing.
Couture ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Arenas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Arenas loads up on a big right hand but Couture slips the punch.
Couture tries to move into range but Arenas moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Arenas pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Couture throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Arenas tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Couture is in Arenas's guard.

Arenas is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Couture has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Arenas avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Arenas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Arenas has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Arenas dips to his left and cracks Couture with an uppercut!
Couture drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Fedor Couture has been cut.
Couture shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Arenas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Couture stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Arenas is looking to slow Couture down with leg kicks.
Arenas lands a big right hook! Couture looks hurt but is still standing! Arenas lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Couture falls down and Arenas dives in with a huge hammer fist! Couture's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Arenas runs up the ropes to celebrate with his fans!
