Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Stampfer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Graves comes to the cage accompanied by London Calling. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Graves!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Stampfer!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Stampfer. No joy for Graves on that attempt.
Stampfer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Graves shoots in looking for a takedown. Stampfer tries to sprawl out of it but Graves keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stampfer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stampfer stalks Graves and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Graves's face. Graves staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Alex Graves has been cut.
Graves ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stampfer stuffs the takedown attempt from Graves. Graves gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Graves. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Graves closes the distance and clinches up with Stampfer, looking for a takedown. Graves pushes Stampfer against the cage but Stampfer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Graves moves forwards but Stampfer connects with a nice, crisp jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Graves doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Stampfer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stampfer has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Paul Stampfer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stampfer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Graves moves out of range of the strikes.
Graves gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Stampfer counters with a crisp right that sends Graves to the canvas! Stampfer follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Stampfer! Paul Stampfer retains his light heavyweight title!
Paul Stampfer very nearly forgot to thank GREEN!160 amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
In defeat, Alex Graves stepped up to the mic, saying 'No way, no way. That crap was stopped too soon!'.
