The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt
and Palmar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Johnson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Palmar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Palmar lands a nice looking body shot.

Palmar fakes the leg kick and cracks Johnson in the body.
Palmar has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Palmar but Palmar pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Remy Palmar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Johnson.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Palmar, as that shot connected.
Remy Palmar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Palmar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Palmar wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Johnson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Johnson moves forwards but Palmar connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Palmar, right into the meat.
Johnson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Palmar connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Johnson scrambles back to his feet.
Johnson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Palmar takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Palmar throws an overhand right that drops Johnson like a sack of potatoes! Palmar dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
