Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Cleary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyron Thatch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyron Thatch!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cleary gets the takedown into side control.

Thatch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cleary. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cleary tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cleary has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Thatch has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Cleary has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Thatch! Can he survive? No! He's out! Cleary gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
