The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Provel misses with a leg kick.

Cardenas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Provel to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Provel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Provel landing a few strikes.
Provel is chipping away with strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cardenas is looking for a sweep.
Provel is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Cardenas will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Cardenas tries to bench press Provel off him but Provel keeps the position.

Provel lands a few punches from side control.
Cardenas is trying to improve his position.
Provel scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Cardenas is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Provel can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

After the fight, Miroslav Provel was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
