Williams has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Wilson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Wilson is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Williams's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Williams let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

and Wilson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Williams has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Williams counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wilson thinking.
Wilson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Williams eats them both and turns towards Wilson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Williams is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Wilson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Williams is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wilson.
And Wilson counters with a quick kick to the body but Williams blocks it.
Williams doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Williams checks a leg kick.
Williams looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Wilson misses with an uppercut. Williams saw that one coming.
Wilson moves away from the strike by Williams.
Williams keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Williams avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wilson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Wilson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williams moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Wilson might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Wilson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
The fighters circling - Wilson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Williams cracks Wilson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looked like Wilson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Williams.
Wilson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Paul Williams seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Williams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Wilson, right into the meat.
Oh Wilson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wilson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Williams.
Williams lands a big head kick that sends Wilson to the canvas! Williams follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Williams!
A relieved looking Paul Williams thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
