Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Pablos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Pablo Pablos was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anderson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 21 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pablo Pablos!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pablos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Pablos persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Pablos shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.
Silva appears to be looking for a big counter.
Anderson Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Pablos.
Pablos tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Pablos, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Silva counters with a crisp one two that drops Pablos! Silva thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Pablos to his feet! Pablos is in big trouble!

Pablos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
Silva appears to be looking for a big counter.
Pablos is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pablos.
Silva appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Pablos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Silva half committed to a counter leg kick.
Pablos seems to have recovered his senses.
Pablos looks winded!
Pablos dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Pablos's head and hops out.
Pablos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pablos somewhat.
As Pablos looks to move away, Silva throws a big counter combo bu Pablos just gets out of the way.
Pablos fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pablos misses with a takedown
and Silva counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Pablos badly! Silva follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Pablos out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Silva finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Anderson Silva!
