Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robledo Puch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eka Tahuna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Robledo Puch!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Eka Tahuna!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tahuna swings for the body but Puch moves out of range.
Puch misses with a shot to the body
and Tahuna counters with a nice low kick that buckles Puch's knee momentarily.
Puch connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tahuna momentarily.
Tahuna feints and then cracks Puch's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Puch down.
A thudding body kick lands there by Tahuna!
Tahuna takes one on the button.
Puch has a takedown stuffed.
Tahuna with the counter takedown but Puch avoids it easily.
Tahuna slips a jab from Puch.
Tahuna flicks out a counter leg kick but Puch steps away.
Puch throws the left hand but Tahuna avoids the punch easily.
Tahuna tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Puch's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tahuna under the eye.

Puch closes the distance and clinches up with Tahuna, looking for a takedown. Puch pushes Tahuna against the cage but Tahuna circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Puch is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Tahuna counters with a crisp one two that drops Puch! Tahuna thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Puch to his feet! Puch is in big trouble!

Tahuna swings for the body but Puch moves out of range.
Tahuna defending well as Puch loads up on a big left hand.
Tahuna stuffs the takedown.
Tahuna takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Puch rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tahuna counters with a straight right hand.
Tahuna avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
And Tahuna tries to counter it with a takedown but Puch pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Puch misses with an uppercut.
Tahuna tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Puch looks to land a combination but Tahuna avoids it well.
Tahuna now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Tahuna ducks under a wild hook from Puch.
Tahuna swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Tahuna ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Puch moves away.

Puch drives through with a takedown into guard.
Puch controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Puch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Puch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Tahuna wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A slow jab from Puch misses its intended target.
Puch shoots in for a double leg but Tahuna sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Robledo Puch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Puch misses with a hook. Tahuna ducked under it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Robledo Puch will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Puch shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tahuna as he jumps to the side.

Are you kidding me?! Tahuna ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Puch clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

Eka Tahuna is the new lightweight champion!
After the fight, Eka Tahuna was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
