Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brad Dillinger!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dillinger is defended easily by Smith.
Smith appears to be looking for a big counter.
Dillinger misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Smith lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Smith misses with a few strikes there.
Nice sprawl there from Smith as Dillinger shoots in.
Greg Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Dillinger.
Smith throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Brad Dillinger has been cut.
Dillinger tries to land a front kick but Smith steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Dillinger moves out of range easily.
Smith throws a right hand that Dillinger ducks under and follows up with a left that Dillinger also avoids with ease.
Smith lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dillinger.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Dillinger does a little dance to reset his feet.

Dillinger closes the distance and pushes Smith back into the cage.

Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

It looked like Smith was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dillinger.
A nice inside leg kick there by Smith. That's going to slow Dillinger down.
Smith slaps away a takedown attempt from Dillinger, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smith misses with the combination.
Dillinger fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dillinger wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Smith appears to be looking for a big counter.
Smith lands with a slapping head kick.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination

and Dillinger holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Dillinger lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Smith is looking to wear down Dillinger with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.

Dillinger shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dillinger looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've been told by Smith's head coaches at Bruize Brothers that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Dillinger is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Dillinger shoots in but no luck this time.
Dillinger avoids the head kick by Smith.
Dillinger wants to counter with a clinch but Smith pushes him away.
Smith misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dillinger takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dillinger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dillinger blocks the body kick.
Dillinger drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Smith defends it well.
Dillinger tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
Dillinger throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greg Smith dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Dillinger shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Smith uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dillinger.

It looked like Smith wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Smith thuds a left hand into Dillinger's body.

Smith lands a left and a right that send Dillinger crashing to the mat, dazed. Smith thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Dillinger is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dillinger switches off momentarily and Smith cracks him with a monster right hand! Dillinger topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Smith dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Smith!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Greg Smith!
After winning the bout, Greg Smith thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
