The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killmaz wants to slow Fjera down by chopping away at his legs.
Fjera takes a swing at Killmaz's ribcage but misses.
Jab from Fjera.
Fjera with a nice cross.
Killmaz misses with a leg kick
and Fjera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nice uppercut there from Killmaz.

It looks like Nick Fjera has been cut.

Fjera decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Killmaz pushes Fjera off and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Killmaz throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Killmaz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Killmaz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fjera with a jab.
Fjera uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Killmaz.
Killmaz throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Killmaz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Fjera lands the left hand.
Merkan Killmaz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Killmaz.
Killmaz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fjera's calf.
Nice uppercut there from Killmaz.
Fjera misses with a straight left.
Killmaz throws a half hearted mid kick.
Fjera misses with a right hand
and Killmaz counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Killmaz delivers a nice body kick.
Fjera looks winded!
Fjera blocks a leg kick.
Fjera checks a leg kick.
Killmaz connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fjera. Fjera circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Killmaz fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Killmaz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Killmaz throws a sloppy head kick

and Fjera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Killmaz won't be happy with that.
Killmaz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fjera wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Killmaz is trying to buck Fjera off.
Killmaz tries to bench press Fjera off him but Fjera keeps the position.
Killmaz is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at MANTIS MMA , so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Fjera in side control lands a decent elbow.
Fjera is chipping away with strikes.

Fjera has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Killmaz is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Fjera yanks on the arm and Killmaz is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Fjera.
