Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Split Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angelos Stamatis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stamatis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Audiomachine - Earth Shaker. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Angelos Stamatis enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Split Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Angelos Stamatis!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamatis shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense.
Brown lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Stamatis looks to throw the jab but Brown is out of range.
Brown is looking to counter with a body kick.
Brown with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stamatis to score with a decent uppercut.


It looks like Split Brown has been cut.
Brown throws a head kick that misses.
Both fighters circling a little - Brown finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stamatis. Brown does a little dance to reset his feet.
Stamatis throws a body punch but Brown moves out of range.

Stamatis shoots in and gets a takedown into Brown's guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Brown's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stamatis is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Brown's shoulder. That is not cool.

Stamatis remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Stamatis wants to control but Brown is keeping him busy.

Split Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

I would just about give that final round to Angelos Stamatis.
I've got Stamatis winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
