Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yakai Ossini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ferdinand Marcos!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Marcos.
Marcos gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ossini throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marcos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Ossini closes the distance and clinches up with Marcos, looking for a takedown. Ossini pushes Marcos against the cage but Marcos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ossini shoots in but Marcos avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Marcos is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ossini.
The fighters circling - Marcos throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ossini shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marcos as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yakai Ossini. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marcos thows a body shot but no joy.
Ossini looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marcos is fending him off so far but Ossini persists. Nope, Marcos circles away and we're back to standing.
Ossini drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Marcos stuffs the takedown attempt from Ossini. Ossini gets slowly back to his feet.

Marcos is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Marcos tries to hold on but Ossini postures up.

Ossini jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Marcos is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Marcos and Ossini has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Ossini sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Marcos is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Ossini tries to score with some ground and pound. Marcos controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marcos is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ossini's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marcos is trying to control but can't.

Ossini thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marcos's head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ossini connects with a nice short shot to Marcos's temple.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ossini is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Marcos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ossini's guard.

Ossini knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marcos on the ground.

Marcos wants to control but Ossini is keeping him busy.
Ossini gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Ossini is pressing down on Marcos's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Ferdinand Marcos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ossini changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marcos tries to avoid it but Ossini manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marcos to the ground. Marcos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Marcos counters with a left and a right that stings Ossini.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Marcos counters with a slapping leg kick.

Ferdinand Marcos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Marcos lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ossini backs up against the cage.

Ferdinand Marcos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Marcos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
