Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Gruzinsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ellis Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by "The Four Horsemen" by Metallica. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roman Gruzinsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ellis Miller!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruzinsky feints and then cracks Miller's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Miller down.
Miller stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Miller misses with a leg kick
and Gruzinsky counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gruzinsky throws a one two combo.
An inside leg kick lands from Miller.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gruzinsky.
Miller has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Miller goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Roman Gruzinsky has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Miller throws a shot from downtown. Gruzinsky moves away and avoids it.
Some bone on bone action there as Gruzinsky checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

and Miller counters with an inside leg kick.

Miller is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gruzinsky's half guard.

Miller takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Miller throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gruzinsky blocks it with crossed arms.
Miller is looking to take this one to the mat.
Roman Gruzinsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ellis Miller.
Gruzinsky tries to throw a body punch but Miller avoids it by throwing Gruzinsky back against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Miller shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gruzinsky counters with an inside leg kick.
Gruzinsky misses with a wild body shot.
Gruzinsky lands a leg kick that knocks Miller off balance momentarily.
Gruzinsky is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Miller misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gruzinsky lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Miller has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Miller and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Miller appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Miller rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gruzinsky moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Miller looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Gruzinsky lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Miller drops his hands momentarily and Gruzinsky takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gruzinsky has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Miller is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Gruzinsky's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

A head punch on the inside from Miller fails to land.

Miller has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gruzinsky is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Miller's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gruzinsky will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Miller takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gruzinsky works over Miller's head and body with a nice combination.

Gruzinsky lands a big head kick that sends Miller tumbling to the mat! Gruzinsky takes a step backwards and waves Miller back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gruzinsky cracks Miller with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Miller looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gruzinsky finish him?

Gruzinsky throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Miller misses with a lunging right hand
and Gruzinsky counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Miller falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Roman Gruzinsky!
