Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Engelbreckt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dusty Madson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Engelbreckt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Dusty Madson!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Engelbreckt. Madson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Engelbreckt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Alexander Engelbreckt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Madson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Engelbreckt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Engelbreckt darts in and clinches Madson up against the cage.
Engelbreckt tries for a takedown. No joy.
Madson misses with a hook from the clinch.

Engelbreckt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Engelbreckt counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Madson!

Engelbreckt is trying to get an arm triangle but Madson is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Engelbreckt throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Engelbreckt scores with punches from side control.
Madson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Engelbreckt throws a big right hand that misses.
Engelbreckt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Engelbreckt is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Madson controls Engelbreckt momentarily but Engelbreckt frees himself.
Madson keeping moving, preventing Engelbreckt from controlling successfully.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Madson is on top in guard.
Engelbreckt throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Madson postures up and lands a big shot to Engelbreckt's brow.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A lazy left from Madson finds it's target.
Madson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Engelbreckt's head.
Madson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
The fight stays on the outside here - Engelbreckt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Engelbreckt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Madson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Madson is not content to let Engelbreckt control the position.

Madson is trying to get back to half guard.
Engelbreckt trying to control the action but Madson is working from the bottom.

Madson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Madson gets back to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Engelbreckt trying to control the position from guard on top but Madson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Engelbreckt connects with a couple of short punches.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Engelbreckt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Engelbreckt trying to control but Madson is working from the bottom.
Engelbreckt is working Madson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Madson is trying to hold Engelbreckt in close to prevent damage but Engelbreckt has managed to pass into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Engelbreckt working over Madson with some ground and pound. Madson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Engelbreckt tries for a takedown but Madson circles away easily
and Engelbreckt takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Engelbreckt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Madson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Madson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Engelbreckt shoots in for a takedown but Madson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Madson throws the left hand but Engelbreckt avoids the punch easily.
Engelbreckt is looking to counter punch.

Engelbreckt has closed the distance and engaged Madson in a clinch.
Engelbreckt lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Engelbreckt dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Engelbreckt wants to take the fight to the mat but Madson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Engelbreckt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Engelbreckt tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Madson avoids it.
Madson pushes Engelbreckt back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Madson tries a body shot but Engelbreckt blocks it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Engelbreckt is rocked!

Engelbreckt's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Oh Engelbreckt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Madson creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Engelbreckt with a big uppercut! Engelbreckt tries to clinch up but Madson pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Engelbreckt to the mat! Engelbreckt covers up and Madson unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dusty Madson!
Dusty Madson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
