Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mats Thoreson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clegane keeps the fight on the outside.
We've been told by Clegane's head coaches at LOD: Xtreme MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Clegane feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Thoreson's calf.

Thoreson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Thoreson showed some decent athleticism there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Clegane is trying to get back to full guard.

Thoreson wants to work for an arm triangle but Clegane is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Thoreson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clegane keeps working.
Thoreson is nestled in close to Clegane, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mats Thoreson dominated that round.

Thoreson wants to clinch up but Clegane keeps it at a distance.

Thoreson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Clegane is defending well for now.

Sandor Clegane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mats Thoreson.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Clegane manages to break the clinch.
Clegane jabs Thoreson right on the nose. Thoreson blinks but takes it well.

Nice cross by Clegane.
Thoreson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Clegane connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sandor Clegane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Clegane lands a left and a right that send Thoreson crashing to the mat, dazed. Clegane thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Clegane fails to land with a series of punches.
Clegane circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Thoreson to the canvas! Thoreson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Clegane keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sandor Clegane!
An out of breath Sandor Clegane thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
