Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valentin Nasimentu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmie Akesson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nasimentu comes to the cage accompanied by ТIК - Бiлi Троянk. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akesson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nasimentu moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Valentin Nasimentu has been cut.
Akesson throws a hook to the side of Nasimentu's head but Nasimentu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Akesson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Nasimentu under the eye.

Nasimentu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Akesson defends it well.

Nasimentu is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Akesson is just riding it out for now. Nasimentu eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Akesson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nasimentu quickly recovers to half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Akesson lands a nice short elbow.
Akesson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nasimentu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That was a close round but I would say that Valentin Nasimentu will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Akesson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nasimentu's guard.

Akesson is looking to work some ground and pound but Nasimentu has wrist control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Akesson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Akesson wants to stand and escape but Nasimentu is having none of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Jeez, Valentin Nasimentu's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Akesson shoots for a double leg takedown but Nasimentu sprawls well. He's pushed Akesson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Some bone on bone action there as Nasimentu checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
