Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marc Burnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryan Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez gets a double leg takedown into Burnett's guard.

Burnett looking for a guillotine here but Sanchez defends easily.
Sanchez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Burnett, up you get!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big head kick from Sanchez and Burnett is sent sprawling to the canvas!


Burnett is rocked!


It looks like Marc Burnett has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burnett wants to control the position but Sanchez says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Oh Burnett is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sanchez slows the pace down in half guard.

Sanchez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sanchez is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanchez stops Burnett from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burnett looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Sanchez pushes past his half guard into mount!
Sanchez content just to control the position here.
Sanchez unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Burnett wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Sanchez celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Sanchez!
During a confident post fight interview, Ryan Sanchez thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
