Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cain Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Tinkl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Tinkl is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Tinkl!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tinkl instigates a clinch.
Tinkl throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jones blocks it with crossed arms.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Tinkl tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Tinkl drops back down to his feet.
Jones lands a damaging elbow.
Tinkl trying to stall but Jones improves his position.
Tinkl can't get the takedown.
Tinkl is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jones is defending well.

Tinkl shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Tinkl keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jones leaves Tinkl with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jones looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Tinkl is trying to push Jones away but Jones has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Tinkl throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tinkl off to one side.

Jones tries to clinch up but Tinkl circles away and keeps his distance.
Cain Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
