Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Max Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rhyan Arias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arias is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by i just want it all. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Collins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rhyan Arias!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Arias defends it nicely.
Collins shoots in looking for a takedown. Arias tries to sprawl out of it but Collins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arias manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Collins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Collins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Collins throws a head kick that misses.
Arias changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Collins tries to avoid it but Arias manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Collins to the ground. Collins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Collins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Collins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Arias as he avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Collins or perhaps it was just good defense by Arias, which made it look bad.

and Collins counters with a one-two to the body.
Collins throws a sloppy head kick and Arias moves out of range easily.

Arias closes the distance and clinches.
Arias tries to score a body lock takedown but Collins shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Arias jumps into guard, dragging Collins to the mat.

Collins wants to control from the top but Arias keeps moving.

Arias is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Collins has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Arias bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Collins's guard.

Arias stands and steps away. Collins gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Arias rushes Collins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Arias misses with a takedown attempt - Collins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Collins is trying to push Arias away but Arias has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Arias breaks from the clinch.

It looked like Collins was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Arias.

Arias tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Collins defends well and Arias ends up having to push Collins into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Collins is looking for a counter combo.
Arias will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

As Arias tries to get set, Collins tries to push him back and clinch up but Arias manages to avoid the attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Max Collins will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Arias manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
