Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taufiqul Haq (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Taufiqul Haq!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matthew Clay!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haq misses the jab.
Clay with the counter takedown but Haq avoids it easily.
Haq misses with a straight right.
Clay connects with a jab.
Clay misses with a takedown attempt
and Haq counters with a straight right hand.
Clay works over Haq's head and body with a nice combination.
Clay shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Haq pinned against the cage. Haq gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Haq keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clay misses the body punch
and Haq counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Haq cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Clay throws a low kick, looking for Haq's leg but Haq calmly moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Haq misses the target.
Clay shoots and misses
and Haq counters with a nice uppercut.
Taufiqul Haq has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Clay.
Haq displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Clay throws out the jab.
Haq is looking to counter punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Horrible takedown attempt by Clay or perhaps it was just good defense by Haq, which made it look bad.
Clay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Haq counters with a straight right hand.
Clay shoots in for a takedown but Haq shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Clay misses the body punch
and Haq counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Clay misses with a jab to the body
letting Haq counter with a right hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Clay, as that shot connected.
Clay doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Haq counters with a nice uppercut.
Haq scores with a nice strike.
Clay misses with a lunging right hand
and Clay takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clay swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting Haq counter with a right hand.
Haq missing with a left hand there. Clay was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Clay will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Clay decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Haq knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clay on the ground.
Haq has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Clay is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clay scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Clay trying to control the action but Haq is working from the bottom.
Clay lands with a punch from half guard.

Still in half guard, Clay seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Clay looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Haq with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Haq is breathing heavily.
Clay stops Haq from getting back to his feet.
Clay not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Clay missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Haq on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Clay thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Clay throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Haq has hold of Clay's hands but Clay slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Clay slips a nice elbow through Haq's hands, connecting with Haq's forehead.
Haq keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Clay keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Clay looking to score a takedown here. Haq is defending well but Clay drives through and ends up in Haq's guard.
Clay thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Clay lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Clay throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Clay loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Clay not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Clay postures up and lands a big shot to Haq's brow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Taufiqul Haq will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Clay thows a leg kick but Haq checks it
enabling Haq to counter with a crisp jab.
Clay drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Clay working the head with strikes.
Clay throws a strike aimed at the side of Haq's head but Haq avoids it well.
Clay lands a decent elbow from side control.
Clay landing a few strikes.
Clay lands a strong strike to the head of Haq. That's dazed him! Clay looking to finish here. Haq is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Clay lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matthew Clay!
Matthew Clay bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
