Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emil Cervantes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kavan Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kavan Kerr is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Emil Cervantes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kavan Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kerr.

Cervantes tries to lock up and control but Kerr gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kerr is trying to control the action in half guard but Cervantes is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Let's hope that Kerr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cervantes connects with a nice short shot to Kerr's temple.

Cervantes stands up over Kerr, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Kerr tries to clinch up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Cervantes or perhaps it was just good defense by Kerr, which made it look bad.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kerr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cervantes will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kerr up against the cage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

As Kerr tries to get set, Cervantes tries to push him back and clinch up but Kerr manages to avoid the attempt.

A nice right hand lands inside from Kerr.

Kerr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kavan Kerr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kerr shoots in looking for a takedown but Cervantes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kerr's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
