Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Terrence Funk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funk throws an overhand right that lands on Hess's shoulder, as Hess tries to avoid the shot.

Funk dives in and scores a takedown into Hess's guard.
Hess looking to hit a scissor sweep but Funk is one step ahead there.
Funk seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Funk scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Funk has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Funk trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Hess can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Funk controls the pace.

Hess has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Funk should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hess has tightened it up now! Funk should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
