Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Quessey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pierre Quessey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Knight!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quessey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Knight, pushing him back against the cage.
Knight looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Knight is trying to push Quessey away but Quessey has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Knight is working for takedown but Quessey is calmly controlling the position for now.

Quessey manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Knight wants to stand but Quessey is controlling his posture from full guard.
Quessey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Quessey performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quessey lands strikes from half guard.
Knight on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Quessey is controlling the pace.
Quessey is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Quessey looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Quessey wants to work for an arm triangle but Knight is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Quessey wants to get back to his feet.
Quessey passes to full mount!

Quessey looking to control and managing it successfully.

Quessey looking to finish Knight with some ground and pound. This is bad for Knight!

Knight reaches up to try and control the position but Quessey seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Knight rolls and tries to escape and now Quessey has his back!

What can Knight do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Quessey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pierre Quessey dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Quessey throws a series of punches but Knight avoids them all with ease.
And Knight responds with a good body kick, but Quessey manages to step out the way in time.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Quessey.
Quessey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee asks Quessey politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Quessey prefers to stall for the moment though.
Quessey lands a strong strike to the head of Knight. That's dazed him! Quessey looking to finish here. Knight is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Quessey lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pierre Quessey!
Pierre Quessey decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
