Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carolus Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denny Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carolus Rex could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Denny Brown's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carolus Rex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Denny Brown!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown moves into range and clinches up with Rex.
Rex lands an elbow inside.

Brown breaks the clinch.
A jab from Rex finds it's way through Brown's defenses.
Rex jabs Brown to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Brown on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Brown needs to keep his hands up - Rex had a free shot at his head there.
Brown fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brown fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Brown takes one to the side of the head.
Brown dives in for a single leg takedown but Rex sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Rex seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Brown will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brown shoots in but no luck this time.
Carolus Rex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Denny Brown.

Rex moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Rex is retaining full guard.
Rex seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Rex on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rex tries to get out of the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Rex throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Brown on the side of the head.
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Rex manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rex seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Rex stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rex wants it to stay on the feet.
Rex connects with a nice looking jab.
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Rex manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Brown drops his hands momentarily and Rex takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rex's corner calls for a 1-2. Rex obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rex bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brown's head backwards.
Brown on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Rex jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Brown wants to clinch up but Rex keeps it at a distance.

Brown moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Brown shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rex defends it nicely.
Brown seems to have recovered his senses.
Brown has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Brown takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Horrible takedown attempt by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Rex, which made it look bad.
Denny Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Brown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rex forces Brown back against the cage and clinches.

Rex manages to break the clinch.
Rex throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Brown on the side of the head.
Rex lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rex lands a jab to Brown's midsection.
Brown is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Brown has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Brown there as he acknowledges the shot.

Rex scores with a crisp jab that stopped Brown in his tracks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rex stands and steps away. Brown gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
No luck for Brown with that takedown attempt.
Brown gets cracked there but stands up to it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brown tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rex swivels and escapes.

Rex lands an elbow inside that Brown shrugs off.

Rex escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rex catches Brown with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Rex manages to break the clinch.
Rex scores with a nice strike.
Rex lands a right hook to the body.
Rex scores with a shot to the body.
Brown throws a big shot that misses.
Rex shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Brown eats them both and turns towards Rex to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Rex rushes Brown and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rex comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Rex using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Brown has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Rex lands an elbow just above Brown 's eye.
Brown tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rex smiles and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rex lands with a right that hurts Brown. Brown looks to clinch but Rex throws a short knee that drops Brown. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Carolus Rex!
