Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yan Gusmao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vera has chosen Pendulum - Tarantula as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Yan Gusmao has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Yan Gusmao seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gusmao with a hook.
Gusmao gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A punch combination from Gusmao misses.
Vera throws a series of punches but Gusmao avoids them all with ease.
Vera looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Vera slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Vera is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Vera has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Vera quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Vera but it's paid off an Gusmao is forced to tap! Nice work by Vera.
