Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Winston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carly Sarmiento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sarmiento has chosen Bodies as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Winston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carly Sarmiento!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Winston gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sarmiento to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sarmiento throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Winston works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Winston keeping moving, preventing Sarmiento from controlling successfully.
Winston controls Sarmiento momentarily but Sarmiento frees himself.
Sarmiento working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sarmiento must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Winston is trying to control the position but Sarmiento postures up.

Winston had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sarmiento defends it easily.
Sarmiento scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sarmiento tries to free his leg and advance position but Winston is retaining full guard.
Winston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Winston has his foot on Sarmiento's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sarmiento works his way back into a safe position though.
Sarmiento lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Sarmiento stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Winston swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sarmiento wants to control from the top but Winston keeps moving.

Sarmiento has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Winston to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sarmiento is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Winston pulls down on the head and he's put Sarmiento to sleep! This one is all over!
