The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatsby throws a front kick aimed at Nomo's knee but Nomo avoids it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Still in half guard, Nomo seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gatsby regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Nomo.

and Nomo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nomo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In defeat, Jay Gatsby stepped up to the mic, saying 'Damn, I had him. I don't think I'd have lost if... In fact, I'm sure I won this fight, hope you give me a rematch, old sport. Can't repeat the past? Why, of course you can... of course you can. '.
