Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Landen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bosco Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Landen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bosco Brown!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landen looks for the body kick but Brown saw that one coming.
Brown pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Landen misses with a kick to the body.
Despite the aggression on Brown's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Brown drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
I wouldn't like to be where Landen is right now.
Landen tries to buck Brown off but Brown is having none of it.
Brown controlling from side mount.
We've been hearing good reports from Landen's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Landen tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Brown is looking to take a break and control but Landen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Brown misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Landen is looking to regain half guard here but Brown keeps moving and retains side control.
Brown creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Brown working his ground and pound in the gym.
Landen tries to bench press Brown off him but Brown keeps the position.
Landen is working hard here to advance position.

Landen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brown wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Brown wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Landen, who protects the arm well.

Brown trying to control the action but Landen is working from the bottom.
Landen tries to bench press Brown off him but Brown keeps the position.
Brown lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Landen down.
Brown is looking to take a break and control but Landen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Landen is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brown wants to control but Landen is keeping him busy.
Landen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Landen is looking to reverse the position.
Brown working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Landen is trying to work for a sweep but Brown has mounted him!
Brown lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Landen hang on?
Brown has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Brown tries to control but Landen wriggling away.
Brown lands a nice shot to the head.

Bosco Brown dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Brown scores with a decent looking hook.
Landen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brown sees it coming and avoids it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Brown! But no joy.
Brown tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Landen was well out of range. Poor timing from Brown.
It looked like Landen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Landen wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance.
Landen tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Brown is able to avoid easily.
Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Landen.
Brown is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Landen with a body shot.
The fighters circling - Landen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Landen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Landen throws a wild body kick that Brown sees coming a mile off.
Landen scores with a sloppy right hand. Brown should have avoided that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Landen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Brown counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Landen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Brown uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Landen.
Landen connects with an inside leg kick.

Brown takes one to the chin there.
Landen jabs Brown to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Landen throws a solid leg kick but Brown takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Landen.
The fighters circling - Brown throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Landen moves into the clinch successfully.
Brown lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Brown takes a shot to the head.
Landen throws a head punch that misses.
Brown throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Landens head.
Landen wants to break the clinch but can't.
Landen is leaning against Brown and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Brown just leaning against Landen, taking a breather.
Landen swings wildly with an uppercut but Brown uses good head movement to avoid it.
Brown has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Brown blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Brown.
Brown tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Landen's elbow.
Landen misses with a punch on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brown scores with a shoulder strike.
Landen throws a punch but it's blocked by Brown.
Landen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Landen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Landen can't break the clinch.
Nice body punch from Brown.
Landen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Landen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brown cracks the inside of Landen's front leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Landen fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Landen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brown.
Landen slips under a jab from Brown.
Brown throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Landen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Landen chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Landen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brown's calf.
Landen lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Brown takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Landen paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Landen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Landen getting the better of the striking in that exchange.


Brown is rocked!


It looks like Bosco Brown has been cut.
Landen moves in looking to clinch but Brown pushes him off.
And Brown tries to counter it with a takedown but Landen pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice body punch from Landen.
Brown paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brown takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Landen fires out a quick counter leg kick but Brown just manages to avoid it.
Brown lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Landen at a distance.
Brown slips under a jab from Landen.
Brown thinks about the counter body kick.
Landen takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.
Brown chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Landen can pounce on him.
Brown lands with a hook. Landen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Landen tries a low kick but Brown avoids it.
Landen moves out of range of the body kick.
Paul Landen is winning the standup battle so far.
Brown takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Brown looks to land a combination but Landen avoids it well.
Landen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Brown tries to keep at a distance but Landen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Brown will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Landen up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Landen dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Bosco Brown's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Brown gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Landen counters with a nice body shot.
Brown shoots for a takedown but Landen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Landen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Brown sprawls and moves away.
Landen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Landen lands a nice leg kick that just misses Brown's sensitive parts.
Brown tries to clinch but Landen moves out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Landen.
Landen listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Brown throws a lazy uppercut
and Landen counters with a nice uppercut.
Landen lands a big head kick that sends Brown to the canvas! Landen follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Landen!
After winning the bout, Paul Landen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
