Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnavut Sevket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arnavut Sevket has the eye of the tiger tonight.

With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Arnavut Sevket!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askren takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Sevket slips under a jab from Askren.

Sevket changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Askren looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Askren manages to get back to half guard.
Askren is looking for a sweep. Sevket is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Askren is refusing to be controlled, as Sevket sits in half guard.
Sevket not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Askren looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sevket is fending him off so far but Askren persists. Nope, Sevket circles away and we're back to standing.
Sevket throws out a counter right but Askren avoids it with no problem.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Askren stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Sevket fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Askren manages to avoid it.

That was a close round but I would say that Jon Askren will probably get the nod.

A nice side step and Sevket releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

That was a close round but Jon Askren did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Sevket postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Askren is out cold - huge knockout for Sevket!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 4, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Arnavut Sevket! Arnavut Sevket retains his middleweight title!
In his post fight interview, Arnavut Sevket started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Jon Askren spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll be back stronger!'.
