Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Mug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steve Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jimmy Mug!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mug shoots in looking for a takedown but Austin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mug's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Austin lands a big head kick that sends Mug tumbling to the mat! Austin takes a step backwards and waves Mug back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Jimmy Mug has been cut.

Austin clinches up against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Austin dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Austin gets underhooks to prevent Mug's takedown attempt.
Austin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mug avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Nice body punch from Mug - that landed with a thud.
Mug just leaning against Austin, taking a breather.

Austin breaks from the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mug lands a left and a right that send Austin crashing to the mat, dazed. Mug thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Steve Austin has been cut.
Mug tries for a takedown but Austin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Steve Austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Mug.
Mug misses with a takedown
and Mug takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Austin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mug pinned against the cage. Mug gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mug connects with a body shot that sends Austin's belly button to the back.
Austin avoids a punch combination nicely.
A counter left hand to the body from Austin misses its target.
Mug tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Austin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mug closes the distance and clinches up with Austin, looking for a takedown. Mug pushes Austin against the cage but Austin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mug looks winded!

Mug forces Austin back against the cage and clinches.
Mug wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Austin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Austin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mug uses from the top position.
Mug seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Mug pushes down on Austin's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Still in half guard, Mug seems content to control.

Mug seems to be working for a kimura but Austin defends the submission attempt.

Mug wants to control but Austin is keeping him busy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Mug fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mug misses with a combination

and Austin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Austin.
Mug prevents a takedown attempt there.
Austin scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Austin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mug clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Austin somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mug covering up well and avoiding damage.
Mug can't escape the position.
Austin avoiding Mug 's attempts to control his hands.
Mug rolls, trying to escape but Austin keeps control of the position.
Austin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mug on the ground.
Mug is trying to get back to his feet but Austin has full control of the position and if anything, Mug has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Mug rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Mug shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Austin pinned against the cage. Austin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Austin changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Mug gets caught flat footed, as Austin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Mug pushes Austin off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mug looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It looked like Austin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Mug shoots in for a takedown but Austin shows good takedown defense.
Austin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Austin wants to stand but Mug is controlling the position.

Steve Austin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Austin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mug is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Austin has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Mug moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Austin has worked his arm free - good work by Austin!

Mug gets caught napping as Austin dives in and scores a takedown. Mug manages to retain guard.
Austin is working Mug over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Austin lands a nice hook to Mug's body. Mug takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Austin rushes Mug and presses him up against the cage.

Mug wants to sweep here but Austin controlling him for the moment.

Mug is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Mug takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mug is looking to clinch but Austin is avoiding it.
Austin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Austin goes for a double leg but Mug avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mug continues to drive forward.

Austin tries for a takedown but Mug manages to get underhooks.

Austin has Mug pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Austin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mug tumbling to the mat - Austin dives into Mug's guard.

Austin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mug sprawls well. Mug wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Austin gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Austin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mug looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Austin is fending him off so far but Mug persists. Nope, Austin circles away and we're back to standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Austin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mug was covering up waiting for the punch and Austin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mug is trying to control the position but Austin postures up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Steve Austin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Austin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
