Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Demarcus Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manyak Deli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Demarcus Padilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Manyak Deli!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deli swings away with a leg kick that misses.
A swing and a miss from Padilla.
Padilla with a lazy takedown attempt
and Deli counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Deli instigates a clinch.
Padilla really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Deli breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Padilla.

Deli closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Padilla tries to break free but Deli pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Padilla's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Deli lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Padilla.
Padilla is pressed up against the cage. Deli has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Padilla down to the mat. Padilla avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Deli counters with a left and a right that stings Padilla.

Deli rushes Padilla and presses him up against the cage.
Padilla is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Deli closes the distance and pushes Padilla back into the cage.
Deli is trying to drag Padilla to the mat but Padilla just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Deli decides to pull guard.

Padilla decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Horrible takedown attempt by Deli or perhaps it was just good defense by Padilla, which made it look bad.
Deli stuffs the takedown.
No joy there for Deli, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Padilla fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Deli to the ground. Padilla is now in Deli's guard.

Deli is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Padilla tries to break free but Deli pushes him back against the cage.

Deli tries for a takedown but Padilla manages to get underhooks.
A left hand lands to the body for Deli.
Padilla is looking to break free of the clinch but Deli has double underhooks.
Deli stalling against the cage.
Padilla is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Deli works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Padilla is trying to control the position but Deli postures up.

Manyak Deli dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Padilla throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Deli.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Padilla enables Deli to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Padilla manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Padilla uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Padilla dives in for a single leg takedown but Deli sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nice takedown defense from Deli. No joy for Padilla on that attempt.
Deli shoots in for a takedown but Padilla shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Padilla shoots for a takedown but Deli saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Padilla looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Deli is fending him off so far but Padilla persists. Nope, Deli circles away and we're back to standing.
Manyak Deli seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Deli shoots for a double leg takedown but Padilla sprawls well. He's pushed Deli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Deli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Deli finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Padilla shoots in but no luck this time.
Deli shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Padilla as he avoids it easily.

Deli has taken the fight to the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Deli takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Padilla has had enough of the clinch but Deli keeps him there for the moment.
Deli is trying to force a seperation but Padilla has the dominant position.

Deli tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Padilla avoids the elbow strike from Deli, against the cage.
Deli tries for a takedown. No joy.
Padilla misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Padilla is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Deli is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Padilla gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Deli jumps guard but Padilla turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Deli tries to pull guard but Padilla holds him up against the cage and eventually Deli drops back down to his feet.

Deli jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Padilla walks away with a smile on his face. Deli gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Deli shoots for a double leg takedown but Padilla sprawls well. He's pushed Deli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Manyak Deli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Deli counters with a stiff right hand.

Deli fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Padilla checks it well.
Padilla shoots in and drives through. Deli sprawls well.

Deli closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Deli looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Padilla is avoiding damage well.
Padilla manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Deli has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Padilla is working away from the top position though.
Padilla will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That was a close second round but I would say that Demarcus Padilla will probably get the nod.

Padilla changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Deli tries to avoid it but Padilla manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Deli to the ground. Deli escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Deli looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Padilla tries to sprawl but Deli drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Padilla tries to get to full guard but Deli has control of the leg.
Deli stalling.
Padilla knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Deli on the ground.
Deli is thwarting Padilla's attempts to control the position.
Deli seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Deli is continuing to stall.

Manyak Deli comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Deli has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
