The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Timoteo Belo will probably get the nod.

A nice inside leg kick there by Li. That's going to slow Belo down.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Li enables Belo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Li manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Li rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Belo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Li clobbers Belo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Oh Belo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Li tries to clinch there but Belo circles away.

Belo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Li avoids it.

Li keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Belo lands a nice short elbow.
Li moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Li manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Belo manages to get himself to full guard.
Belo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Li passes Belo's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Li closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Belo! Li dives in looking to finish! Belo is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
