Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Tanaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jovee Sandoval!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandoval darts in and clinches Tanaka up against the cage.
Sandoval tries to land knees in the clinch but Tanaka avoids the damage to the body.
Sandoval tries to land a knee to the head but Tanaka blocks with his arms.
Tanaka has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sandoval clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Sandoval really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tanaka is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Sandoval has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Tanaka has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Sandoval taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Tanaka doesn't care though - he's delighted!
