PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oktawian August (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiko Lynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). August comes to the cage accompanied by Hit 'em up. Keiko Lynn told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keiko Lynn!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Topper Green and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynn throws a right and a left that August avoids nicely.
August connects with a crisp jab.
Lynn pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lynn throws a shot from downtown. August moves away and avoids it.
August misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lynn.
August checks a low kick from Lynn.
It looked like August was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

August gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
August wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lynn keeps working.
Lynn manages to work his way to half guard, despite August's best efforts.
August seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lynn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

August is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lynn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time August.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Lynn swings for the body but August moves out of range.
August walks into a left hand.

Lynn drops August with a left and a right! Oh, August is hurt - Lynn dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Oktawian August has been cut.
Lynn cracks August with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Oh August is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
August tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Lynn is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, August is hurt! He's hurt bad - Lynn fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save August from any more punishment! Congratulations to Lynn! Great finish!
