Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mitchell Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enzo May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mitchell Day!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Enzo May!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
May slips a jab and a cross from Day.
Day does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
May wants to clinch.
Day looks to land a combination but May avoids it well.
May swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Day really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Day displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from May.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
May shoots in looking for a takedown but Day manages to keep the fight standing, pushing May's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Day throws a nice head kick!
May closes this distance looking for a takedown but Day circles away.

May tries to counter with a clinch but Day shakes him off and moves away.
May shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Day but Day pushes him off and we're back to square one.

It looks like Mitchell Day has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Day fakes high and swings low for a body shot but May manages to avoid it.
A head kick misses from Day.
May will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Day enables May to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Day manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Day's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

May stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Day swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Day will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
May wants to stand and escape but instead Day has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Day trying to control but May is working from the bottom.

Day is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

May should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

May stalling away here and it's allowed Day to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Day keeping moving, preventing May from controlling successfully.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
May throws a strike but Day rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Day decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on May, up you get!
May throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A little feinted left hand from Day on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

May fails with the takedown.
May shoots for a takedown but Day saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Day changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Day throws a head kick but May moves out of range.
May stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Day.
Day is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that May can do to turn this around?

May is trying to drag Day to the mat but Day just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Day wants the takedown. May is fighting it off but Day persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in May's guard against the cage.
May is looking to stand back up but Day counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by May.

Day slips a nice elbow through May's hands, connecting with May's forehead.
Day takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Day landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Day looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks May with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
