Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cletus Kasady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ville Marakatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marakatti is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Beyoncé - Halo. Ville Marakatti has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cletus Kasady's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cletus Kasady!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ville Marakatti!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasady fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marakatti manages to avoid it.
A little jabbing left from Marakatti on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kasady displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Marakatti.
An inside leg kick from Kasady misses.
Marakatti fails with a takedown attempt.
Marakatti ducks under a wild hook from Kasady.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marakatti wants to clinch.

Marakatti uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kasady.
Marakatti looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Marakatti shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kasady pinned against the cage. Kasady gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kasady was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Cletus Kasady has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ville Marakatti.
Kasady throws a leg kick but Marakatti sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Cletus Kasady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marakatti gets the takedown into side control.
Marakatti is looking to take a break and control but Kasady is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Marakatti swings around for an armbar but Kasady sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Marakatti's guard.
Kasady stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marakatti swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kasady looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Marakatti is trying to get back to full guard.
Marakatti has his hands clasped together around Kasady's back. He's all about the action.
Marakatti is looking to get back to full guard here but Kasady has managed to pass to side control instead.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Marakatti is looking for a sweep.
Marakatti is trying to control Kasady's posture but Kasady avoids it.
Marakatti tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kasady is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kasady tries to clinch but Marakatti is having none of it.

Marakatti is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kasady can't fight it off and eventually Marakatti manages to take the fight to the floor. Kasady looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Marakatti drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kasady manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Marakatti has Kasady in his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marakatti has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kasady is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Marakatti.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Marakatti is trying to strike from the bottom but Kasady has passed into full mount.
Marakatti is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Marakatti is trying to escape the mount.
Marakatti sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Kasady is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Marakatti can do to turn this around?

Cletus Kasady overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Marakatti escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kasady gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cletus Kasady will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Marakatti has gone for a leg lock! Kasady slips out almost immediately though and dives into Marakatti's guard.

Kasady misses with a looping left.

Marakatti throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kasady was covering up waiting for the punch and Marakatti finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Marakatti working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kasady doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kasady manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Marakatti is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kasady pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cletus Kasady showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kasady has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Cletus Kasady rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
