Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Casper Vanderhose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Hardenov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Casper Vanderhose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander Hardenov!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanderhose throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vanderhose throws a nice looking combination but Hardenov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A head kick by Vanderhose misses
and Hardenov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Vanderhose takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hardenov throws a low kick, looking for Vanderhose's leg but Vanderhose calmly moves out of range.
Vanderhose throws a quick counter head kick but Hardenov was just out of range.
Vanderhose throws a head kick that misses.
Hardenov throws out a counter right but Vanderhose avoids it with no problem.

Hardenov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vanderhose, pushing him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A short right from Hardenov.

Vanderhose breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A combination from Vanderhose does no damage.
Hardenov lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Vanderhose tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.

and Hardenov counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Casper Vanderhose has been cut.
Vanderhose throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hardenov counters with a left to the body.
Vanderhose is breathing heavily.
Vanderhose takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Vanderhose ducks straight into an uppercut from Hardenov and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Vanderhose manages to regain guard straight away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hardenov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hardenov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vanderhose is keeping the position for now.
Vanderhose working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hardenov.

Hardenov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vanderhose works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hardenov controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hardenov with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Hardenov lands a nice looking body shot.
A low kick from Vanderhose is predictable there
and Hardenov counters with a nice uppercut.
Casper Vanderhose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hardenov avoids a kick to the body.
Hardenov doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Vanderhose attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Hardenov lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Vanderhose up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Hardenov from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Vanderhose's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Alexander Hardenov decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
