Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pertti Peto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peto has chosen Sabaton - Talvisota as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pertti Peto!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peto walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hawk throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Peto shoots in looking for a takedown. Hawk tries to sprawl out of it but Peto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hawk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Peto doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hawk throws a right and a left that Peto avoids nicely.
Peto shoots in for a double leg but Hawk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hawk fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hawk cracks Peto with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Hawk throws a right hand that Peto ducks under and follows up with a left that Peto also avoids with ease.

Hawk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Peto circles away quickly and effectively.
Peto is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hawk comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hawk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hawk fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Peto tries for a takedown but Hawk sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Peto takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Hawk stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Hawk is looking to wear down Peto with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Hawk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Peto moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Peto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hawk tries to avoid it but Peto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hawk to the ground. Hawk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Peto takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hawk bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hawk throws a body punch but Peto moves out of range.
Peto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hawk tries to avoid it but Peto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hawk to the ground. Hawk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peto gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hawk regains guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peto wants to control from the top but Hawk keeps moving.
Hawk wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Peto manages to pass to side control.

Peto is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hawk tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Peto wants to pass to mount but Hawk is defending the position.
Hawk moves into full guard.

Hawk throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Peto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hawk's guard.
Hawk is staying active underneath Peto, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Hawk manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Hawk misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Peto is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hawk defends it well.

Hawk has one foot on Peto's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Peto has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Peto walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hawk throws a right and a left that both miss.

Peto has Hawk up against the cage in a clinch.
Hawk has had enough of the clinch but Peto keeps him there for the moment.

Peto has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hawk clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Hawk is trying to get back to his feet but Peto has full control of the position and if anything, Hawk has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Peto slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Hawk will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Peto closes the distance and clinches up with Hawk, looking for a takedown. Peto pushes Hawk against the cage but Hawk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hawk is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Peto can do to turn this around?

Hawk pushes Peto off looking to stand but Peto dives back in and keeps control.
Mike Hawk is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Peto is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Hawk defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Peto.

Peto tries to control but Hawk wriggling away.
Peto won't let Hawk get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Peto is landing with some decent strikes but Hawk is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Peto has control of Hawk's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hawk regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hawk wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pertti Peto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hawk has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
