Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Work (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maroun Caboul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aaron Work!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maroun Caboul!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caboul shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Work napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Work looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Work is looking for a sweep.
Caboul lands some shots froms side control.
Caboul should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Caboul swings around for an armbar but Work sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Caboul's guard.
Caboul not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Caboul wants to sweep here but Work controlling him for the moment.
Work controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Work throws a series of punches but Caboul avoids them all with ease.

Caboul shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Work's guard.

Work will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Caboul got a little sloppy there for a moment and Work has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Caboul has managed to get both his arms back between Work's legs - danger averted.

Work throws a right hand that Caboul ducks under and follows up with a left that Caboul also avoids with ease.

Caboul feints and as Work raises his hands in defense, Caboul changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Caboul thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Work has hold of Caboul's hands but Caboul slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Caboul looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Caboul in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Work tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Caboul!
