Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Three Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincenzo Salvaggio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincenzo Salvaggio!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Salvaggio's head.
A jab from Dog misses.
Dog misses with a right hand
and Salvaggio counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dog scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Dog throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A solid leg kick lands there for Dog.
Salvaggio throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dog stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dog tries to clinch but Salvaggio moves out of range.
Salvaggio keeps the fight on the outside.
Salvaggio scores with a jab to the jaw.
Donk. Salvaggio catches Dog right on the button with a cross.
Salvaggio lands a glancing blow to the side of Dog's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dog cracks Salvaggio with a good jab.

Salvaggio darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dog slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Dog looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Salvaggio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dog. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Salvaggio looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Salvaggio looking to pass the guard.
Salvaggio must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Salvaggio slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Salvaggio's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Dog bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Salvaggio's guard.

Dog is pushing down on Salvaggio's leg trying to pass to half guard. Salvaggio is fighting to maintain full guard but Dog has managed to sneak the leg through.
Dog is pressing down on Salvaggio's thigh, looking to free his foot. Salvaggio is holding on for now.

Dog looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dog is trying to control the action in half guard but Salvaggio is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dog is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Salvaggio is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dog is pressing down on Salvaggio's thigh, looking to free his foot. Salvaggio is holding on for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Salvaggio bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dog's head backwards.

Dog gets caught napping as Salvaggio dives in and scores a takedown. Dog manages to retain guard.

Dog is looking for a triangle but Salvaggio pushes his legs off easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dog is on top in guard.

Dog is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Salvaggio knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dog thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dog is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Salvaggio has escaped the position, nice work there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Salvaggio can do anything to dispel that myth.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Salvaggio tries to buck Dog off but Dog is having none of it.
Salvaggio is not content to let Dog control the position.
Salvaggio is looking for a sweep.

Vincenzo Salvaggio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Salvaggio might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nice straight punches there by Salvaggio. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Salvaggio.

Dog shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Salvaggio wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Salvaggio digs a good body shot into Dog's ribs.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Salvaggio lands a left and a right that sends Dog crashing to the canvas! Salvaggio dives into mount looking to finish!

Oh Dog is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Salvaggio avoids the attempt from Dog to control.

Dog seems to have got his legs back now.
Let's hope that Salvaggio has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Salvaggio takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Salvaggio has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
