The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice sprawl there from Williams as Polishuk shoots in.
Williams wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Polishuk will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Williams looks to land a body kick but Polishuk moved away.
Polishuk tries to clinch there but Williams circles away.

Williams's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Polishuk connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Williams scrambles back to his feet.

Williams pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Polishuk tries to clinch there but Williams circles away.

and Polishuk counters with a one-two to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Polishuk wants to take the fight to the mat but Williams manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Polishuk looking to sit in guard and control but Williams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Williams not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Polishuk throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Williams escapes and throws Polishuk's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
