Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Webb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Walnuts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Walnuts has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Webb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Walnuts!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walnuts shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Webb as he jumps to the side.

Walnuts moves into the clinch.
Webb lands a good knee to the midsection. Walnuts won't want to take too many of those.
Webb has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Walnuts is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Walnuts gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Webb.
Webb stalls.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walnuts prevents a body shot from Webb.
Webb changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Walnuts fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Webb rushes Walnuts and presses him up against the cage.

Walnuts wants to stand and escape but instead Webb has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Webb's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Walnuts digs a good hook to Webb's body.
Webb moves out of range of the leg kick from Walnuts.

Webb moves into the clinch.
Walnuts tries to circle away but Webb has him pinned against the cage.
Webb is working for takedown but Walnuts is calmly controlling the position for now.
Webb stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Webb is trying to drag Walnuts to the mat but Walnuts just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Walnuts wants to stall.
Webb has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Walnuts after a bit of a struggle.

A frustrated look appears on Walnuts's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Webb really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Webb pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Walnuts moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Webb avoids the head kick by Walnuts.
Walnuts misses with a series of wild punches.
Webb was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Walnuts fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
It looked like Webb was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Walnuts is looking to chop away at Webb's legs.

Walnuts drives through and clinches with Webb against the cage.
Webb goes for a takedown in the clinch but Walnuts prevents it.

Webb breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Webb rushes Walnuts and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Walnuts's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Webb is trying to pull guard but Walnuts has him pressed against the cage.
Walnuts tries to pull guard but Webb won't allow it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Webb takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Webb is stalling here.

Webb's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Webb.
Webb moves out of range of the body kick from Walnuts.
Webb is looking to counter punch.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacob Webb will probably get the nod.

Walnuts lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Webb circles away quickly and effectively.
Walnuts misses with a takedown attempt - Webb sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Walnuts displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Webb.
Webb shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Walnuts tries a head kick but it misses.

Webb fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Walnuts, pushing him back against the cage.
Walnuts wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Webb has him pressed against the cage.

Webb blocks a head kick by Walnuts.
Jacob Webb is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Walnuts throws a series of strikes that have Webb backpedaling.
Walnuts tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Webb defends well and Walnuts ends up having to push Webb into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Webb drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Walnuts gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Walnuts gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Webb regains guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Webb wants to sweep but no luck.
Walnuts wants to get up but he can't break Webb's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Walnuts not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Webb will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Webb decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Walnuts stuffs the takedown attempt from Webb. Webb gets slowly back to his feet.
Walnuts changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Walnuts has closed the distance and engaged Webb in a clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Webb tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Walnuts smiles and moves away.
Walnuts dives in for a single leg takedown but Webb sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Walnuts showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jacob Webb overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Webb missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Webb has gone for a leg lock! Walnuts slips out almost immediately though and dives into Webb's guard.

Webb tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Webb has his foot on Walnuts's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Walnuts works his way back into a safe position though.
Walnuts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Webb. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Walnuts is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Webb is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Walnuts tries to free his leg and advance position but Webb is retaining full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nice shot lands for Walnuts.
Paul Walnuts seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Walnuts feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Webbs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Walnuts fails to land with a series of punches.
Walnuts shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Webb as he jumps to the side.
Walnuts tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Webb defends well and Walnuts ends up having to push Webb into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Webb's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Paul Walnuts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Walnuts has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
