Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chong Zhu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cullen Castrello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zhu comes to the cage accompanied by Meet Gazoo. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhu tried to score with a low kick but Castrello checks it.
Castrello scoring well with a low kick there.
We've been told by Zhu's head coaches at Bruize Brothers that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
A leg kick checked by Zhu.
Castrello ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Zhu thuds a left hand into Castrello's body.
Castrello throws a nice inside leg kick.
Castrello throws a sloppy head kick
and Zhu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A slapping leg kick lands for Castrello.
Zhu pivots, looking for a leg kick but Castrello is out of range and Zhu settles back down.
Castrello swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The crowd cheers as Castrello lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zhu doesn't seem phased though.

Zhu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Castrello.
Chong Zhu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zhu lands with a thumping leg kick.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Zhu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Castrello stalks Zhu and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Zhu's face. Zhu staggers backwards, shaken.
Castrello is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Castrello has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Castrello has Zhu up against the cage in a clinch.
Zhu tries to stall but Castrello uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Castrello throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Zhu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Castrello takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Castrello jabs Zhu right on the nose. Zhu blinks but takes it well.
Castrello drops his hands momentarily and Zhu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Zhu cracks Castrello with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Castrello rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zhu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Castrello tries to bum rush Zhu with a series of wild strikes but Zhu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zhu throws a chopping leg kick but Castrello manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Zhu throws a lazy right hand but Castrello sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zhu throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zhu misses with a double jab
and Castrello counters with a nice body kick.
Castrello tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zhu lets loose with a powerful body kick. Castrello will feel that in the morning.
Castrello throws a series of punches but Zhu avoids them all with ease.
Castrello throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Zhu throws an off balance right hand
and Castrello holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Zhu tries to work over Castrello's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Castrello lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Zhu backwards.

Castrello unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Castrello misses with a hook from the clinch.
Zhu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Castrello throws a body kick that misses.
Castrello moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Zhu is rocked!
It looks like Chong Zhu has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Castrello takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Oh Zhu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zhu cracks Castrello with an open hand slap.
Castrello uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zhu.
Zhu seems to have got his legs back now.
Zhu throws a leg kick but Castrello checks it.
Castrello lands with a right hand.
Castrello circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Zhu drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Castrello follows Zhu to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cullen Castrello!
After winning the bout, Cullen Castrello thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
